She was united in marriage to Tony Grenko October 12, 1909. To this union five children were born, one, Oma Florence, who preceded her in death in infancy. Those left to mourn her passing are husband, one daughter, Anna, three sons—Carl, Ralph, and Earl and one granddaughter, Phyllis Ann; father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. John Ranes; four sisters, Mrs. Clyde McGee. Mrs. Bob Henderson, Mrs. Edith Cottage of Centerville and Mrs. Joanna Yates of Valley Junction; six brothers, Albert, Oscar and William of Centerville, Arthur of Moulton, Charles of Elmira, Mo., Henry ot Waterloo, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Grenko united with the Plano Methodist Church, where she confessed Christ as her Saviour in 1921, during the pastorate of Rev. Trostle. She was a faithful and active worker in the church and always willing to offer her services at all times. She was indeed a patient sufferer, loved her Lord and Saviour and fully trusted Him unto the end. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. P. Trostle of Attica, on June 25th at 2 o'clock from the Plano Methodist Church. Interment was in the Oakland Cemetery at Centerville.
She was a mother, truly fond.
A friend both kind and true.
A better mother never lived.
Her equals are but few.
Years roll on and we must bear
What ever is our lot,
But as long as life and memory last,
She will never be forgot.
Sleep on, dear Mother. Thy labor's o'er.
The willing hands will work no more.
On earth there's strife, in heaven rest.
They miss you most who loved you best.
