Lacy married Delia Wilson Rainwater on Dec. 22, 1915 in Altoga, Collins, Texas. From this union the following childreb were born: Thomas Oliver Kite Sr. 1916 – 2010;Haun Kite 1920; Smith Kite Rev 1920 – 2010;James Eugene Kite 1926 – 2012 and Fay Nell Kite 1931 – 2002.
In 1930 Lacy and Delis and their growing family were living in a house that they rented for $4.00 a month and Lacy was employed as a farmer.
The 1940 census revealed that Homer had moved to a home and farm that he purchased in on Climat-midway Road, in Rural, Collin, Hill Co.,Texas. The value of the home was $500.00.
The last six months of 1979 Lacy had been suffering from Uremia. He was admitted to the Arlington Community Hospital in Arlington, Tarrant, Texas three week prior to his death.
On Dec. 1, 1979, about 11 pm, Homer Lacy Kite exhaled his last breath and his spirit returned to God his maker. The cause of death was kidney failure. A burial plot was selected for him in the Princeton Cemetery, Princeton, Collin County, Texas.
