Haun Kite, 98, of Amarillo died Tuesday, October 9, 2018.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 20, 2018, at The Church of Christ at the Colonies, 4500 Wesley Rd. A reception will follow at the church in the Great Room. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

Haun was born May 2, 1920, in Princeton, Texas to Lacy and Delia Kit. He proudly served in the United States Army during World War II and drove a tank for Patton while in Germany. He married Neva Palmer on July 31, 1941 in Antlers, Oklahoma and together were married almost 72 years before her death in 2013. Haun was a minister for over 70 years. He is preceded in death by his wife, Neva; and 3 brothers. Haun is survived by 3 daughters, Lou Nell Marcear and husband Dick, Joy Crass and husband Bob and Dayna Hooper and husband Dan; 5 grandchildren, D'Nan Scott and husband Madison, Rick Marcear and wife Darla, Carrie Canada and husband Ben, Kent Crass and wife Allyson, and Kayla Middleton and husband Miles; 12 great-grandchildren, Hunter, Millie, Sam, Mary Claire, Jordan, Jace, Jeron, Chance, Cale, McKay, Lacy, and Dane.
