Christina Barbara Hines was born in Beaver, Pike Co, OH, Jun 17, 1852, the daughter of German immigrants, Christian & Eve Catherine Kuntzman Hines. She was married to Lewis Eckhart on Feb 14, 1875 in Pike Co. Together they made their lives around their family of 5 children.

Mrs. Christina Hines Eckhart, age 65, wife of Lewis Eckhart, of 1314 North Sixth, died Friday of paralysis. Besides her husband she is survived by four sons, Martin, Jacob, Charles E, and George Eckhart; one daughter, Mrs. Frank H (Mary)Lawwell and 10 grandchildren all of Columbus. She was a member of the Fifth Avenue Church.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 1:30 pm at the residence, by H A Pletcher. Burial will be at Union Cemetery.
