BOILING SPRINGS—W. Mark Roth, 67, of Boiling Springs RD 1, died Sunday at Carlisle Hospital.
Born in 1910 in Cumberland County, he was the son of the late Edward W. Roth and Minerva Book Roth.
He was retired, having worked for Farmers Trust Co. of Carlisle and then as assistant manager of Agway, Inc., in Mechanicsburg.
He was a member and deacon of the First Church of the Brethren, Carlisle; the church choir, and was a former treasurer and Sunday school teacher.
He also was a member and former treasurer of the board of directors of the Brethren Home at Cross Keys; served as tax collector in North Middletown Twp.; was the former president of South Middleton Twp. PTA and was for several years treasurer of Cumberland County CROP.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Madline [Madeline] Wolfe Roth, and five sons: Kenneth M. Roth, at home; Eugene E. Roth, Carlisle; Dale M. Roth, Pennsylvania Furnace; Paul W. Roth, Oakbrook, Ill., and Philip W. Roth, Indianapolis, Ind.
He also is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Vernon E. Belser, Hershey, two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth R. Adams, Carlisle, and Mrs. Kenneth E. Bowers, Carlisle RD 9; three brothers: David E Roth, Loysville RD 1, Roy H. Roth, and G. Book Roth, Carlisle, and six grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the First Church of the Brethren, Carlisle, with his pastor, the Rev. Richard F. Shreckhise, and the Rev. Harvey Kline, administrator of the Brethren Home at Cross Keys, officiating.
Private burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Church of the Brethren, Carlisle.
