Mrs. Roth was born on Jan. 2, 1883, in Perry County, a daughter of the late Rev. Edmund and Elizabeth Long Book. She was a charter member and a deaconess in the First Church of the Brethren. She was a former member of the Adult Bible Class of the Sunday School and the Women's Fellowship of the church.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Carl J. Adams, 815 North College Street; Mrs. Arthur Martin, 9605 North 12th Street, Tampa, Fla., and Mrs. Kenneth E. Bowers, RD3; four sons, David E. Roth, RD1, Loysville; W. Mark Roth, RD1, Boiling Springs; Roy H. Roth, RD1, Boiling Springs, and G. Book Roth, 276 South West Street; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. in the G. Book Roth Funeral Home, Walnut Bottom Road at Belvedere Street. The Rev. Newton L. Poling, her pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Westminster Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening at the funeral home.
