Anton Fochs - Obituary

Anton Fochs, 74, 8607 Azalea Rd., Wausau, died Saturday evening at a Wausau hospital.

Services will be held Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at Peterson Funeral Home, and at 10 a.m. at Holy Name Catholic Church, both in Wausau. The Rev. Lloyd Geissler will officiate and burial will be in St Mary's Cemetery, Marathon. Friends may call after 3 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, where there will be a combined Holy Name Society and parish vigil at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mr Fochs was born July 20, 1902, in Marathon, son of Mr and Mrs Peter Fochs. On June 2, 1926, in Wausau, he married Freda Urban, who survives. He was a farmer and a machinist and millwright at the former Marathon Can Corp., wherehe was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Holy Name Society.

Survivors besides his wife include two sons, Eugene, 911 Fox Glove Rd., Wausau, and Robert, at home; three daughters, Mrs. Lucille Siewert, 3004 Teal Ave., and Mrs. Lou Ann Lang, 8801 Azalea Rd., both in Wausau, and Mrs. Geraldine Lach, Laurel, MO; a sister, Mrs Joseph Dahlke, 129 Adrian St., Wausau; a brother, Frederick Fochs, Sr., 1805 Spring St., Schofield; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
