Nicholas R. Fochs, 66, Duluth, died yesterday morning about 4 o'clock in a Wausau hospital after six weeks' illness. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marathon. The Rt. Rev. Wenzel Multerer will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery. The body is at the Lohr and Nowitzke Funeral Home in Marathon, where rosary services will be held tomorrow night at 8 o'clock.

Mr. Fochs was born in Chicago November 29, 1887, and at the age of 10 years accompanied his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. Peter w. Fochs, to the town of Cassel, where they farmed. He married Mary Dahlske in Marathon September 13, 1909, and they lived in the Town of Mosinee 15 years. The past 30 years they lived in Duluth.

Surviving are the widow; four daughters, Mrs. Margaret Meetz, Logansport, IL,, Mrs. Marie Dorshak, Michigan City, IN., Mrs. Theresa Hauser, Rockford, IL, and Mrs. Marcella Soczka, Town of Emmet; three brothers, Peter Fochs, Wausau Route 3, Anton Fochs, Wausau Route 4, and Frederick Fochs, Schofield; two sisters Mrs. Elizabeth Reed, Marshfield, and Mrs. Susan Dahlke, Wausau, and 12 grandchildren.

Funeral services for Nicholas R. Fochs, 66, Duluth, who dies last Monday afternoon, were held Thursday morning at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marathon. The Rt. Rev. Msgr. Wenzel Multerer officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Robert Siewert, Raymond Goldbach, Fred Fochs Jr., Alex Weisenberger, Eugene Fochs and Rudolph Poeske. Mr. Fochs, prior to living in duluth, resided in the Town of Mosinee.
