Henry J. Seyller, 70, of Hampshire, died early today in St. Joseph Hospital, where he was a patient for nine days.

He was born Jan. 24, 1890, in Burlington, the son of the lat Michael and Catherine Hoffman Seyller. His marriage to Marie Fohrman took place Jan. 18, 1912, in Hampshire and they farmed in that area. He later was a driver for the late Dr. Roach of Burlington and then was employed at the Hampshire feed yard until retirement in 1952.

Surviving are the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Lorena Reiser, Hampshire, Mrs. Viola Blank, Genoa, and Mrs. Florence Schneider, Elgin; two sons, Marvin (sic - S/B Marvlyn) and Lloyd, Hampshire; three sisters, Mrs. Mathilda Fester (sic - S/B Odelia Sester) and Mrs. Emma Stout, Burlington, and Mrs. Lena Volkening, Elgin; two brothers, Anthony and Elvis, Burlington; 23 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Funeral mass will be said Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Church by Rev. Fr. Clement Petit. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Rosary will be recited Friday evening at 7:30 in the Fredrick Funeral Home, Hampshire, where friends may call after 7 this evening.

Henry J. Seyller was born Jan. 17, 1890 the son of Michael Joseph and Katherine Ann (Hoffman) Seyller. He married Marie I. Forhman on Jan. 18, 1912 and they had seven children: Lorena, Viola, Vernon (Mickey), Florence, Marvlyn, Floyd and Lloyd.
