Mary W. Alberding died at her home at Clay Center January 25th, aged 80 years. She was born in Germany January 25, 1843. Mrs. Alberding was the mother of eleven children. One daughter, Mrs. Leah Short of Nelson, passed away three years ago. Mrs. Alberding came to America in 1872 and aside from residing in Illinois nine years, she had been a resident of Clay county (sic) since coming to this county.
