CARL WILLIAM ALBERDING
Carl William, youngest son of Carl ad Wilhelmina Alberding, was born February 5, 1875 at DeKalb, Illinois and passed away at his farm home near Clay Center, Nebraska early Tuesday morning, April 2, 1940. He was 65 years of age at his last birthday.
Early in his youth he accepted Christ as his personal Savior and became a member of the Evangelical Church. In September, 1913 he accepted the full commandments of God and was baptized with Christ in the likeness of His death, burial and resurrection and became a member of the Clay Center Christian Church. He has been unfailing in his service to the church, serving in many capacities. For many years he has occupied the place of the Eldership, fulfilling the office with Grace and Dignity worthy of the calling of that high office.
On May 5th, 1904 he was married to Emma Turner at the farm home near Clay Center, where they have since resided.
Surviving besides his faithful and loving wife Emma are four brothers, Henry, Julius and Lou of Clay Center, Nebr., and Ed of York; two sisters, Mrs. Harry Falkenburg and Lucy Alberding of Clay Center, Nebr. Two sisters preceded him in death, Mrs. Frank Burt and Mrs. Ernest Short. Besides these there is an innumerable host of relatives and friends who will miss him in every kindly relationship common to his helpful gracious life.
Funeral services were conducted on Thursday, April 4th from the Clay Center Christian Church, Robert E. Hanson in charge. Burial in the Clay Center cemetery.
