Mrs. J.F. Burt died Sunday, September 6, at her home northeast of town after an illness of over a year. She was forty-eight years old. Short services were held at the home Tuesday afternoon and at the M.E. church (sic) in Clay Center at 230, conducted by the pastor, Oscar Wm. Strombom. Interment was at Clay Center. Mr. and Mrs. Burt mover (sic) here last spring and lived on the Carroll farm. Deceased was a sister of the late Mrs. Ernest Short of Nelson.
