Louis C. Alberding

(Obituary)

Lewis Conrad Alberding was born in Landale, Germany on April 16, 1869. He came to America with his parents in June of 1872 and for some years the family lived near Malta, DeKalb County, Illinois. Later moved to a farm east of Clay Center. Since then the deceased has lived in this community.

On February 18, 1903 he was united in marriage to Augusta Fick, who preceded him in death in 1937. To their union two children were born of which one, Helen Mildred, died in infancy.

For many years Mr. Alberding was a faithful member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Church here in Clay Center.

After a long illness his end came quietly last Saturday at a local nursing home. His age was 80 years, 2 months and 9 days.

He is survived by his son Raymond of Clay Center, two grandchildren, one sister, Lucy Alberding of Clay Center and many other relatives.

Funeral services were held at Zion Lutheran church (sic) on Tuesday afternoon. Interment was at the Clay Center cemetery (sic).
