ALANSON BUCK
---Alanson Buck, a respected citizen residing southeast of La Plata, died Tuesday, March 7, and was buried in the La Plata cemetery Wednesday, March 8, the funeral being held from the M. E. Church in this city, conducted by Rev. J. W. Taylor and the I. O. O. F. Deceased was 59 years of age and had been a patient sufferer for a long while. The HOME PRESS tenders its deepest sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
Alanson Buck and Lavina Glazier were married on June 14, 1867 in Athens County, Ohio. Alanson and Lavina Buck had six children all born in Ohio:
1) a male infant that died at birth
2) Edward Arthur Buck
3) Benjamin Franklin Buck
4) William Henry Buck
5) Newton M. Buck
6) Elizabeth Catherine "Katie" Buck Murphy*
