MATTHEW BUCK
---Word has reached here of the death of Matthew Buck who died at the home of his daughter in Roosevelt, Oklahoma. He had been blind and an invalid and in care of a nurse since August, 1938. He was about 85 years of age. Mr. Buck and his family formerly lived on a farm four miles south of old Newburg.

MATTHEW BUCK
---Matthew Buck was born January 28, 1853 near Guysville, Ohio. He pioneered with his parents at the age of seventeen to Macon County, Missouri where he lived until 1903, moving to Tonkawa, Oklahoma and later he moved to Roosevelt where he lived with the exception of the year 1915 which he spent in Bentonville, Arkansas.
---He married Miss Ermon Hodge who was also of Macon County, Missouri. To this union one child was born, Mrs. G. S. Stafford of Roosevelt, Oklahoma.
---He departed this life January 10, 1942 at the home of his daughter where he has lived the past nine years.
---He leaves to mourn his going, his daughter, Amma O. Stafford, one granddaughter, Thelma Claire Hylton, one great-grandson, Picie Clair of Arkansas City, Kansas, and a host of other relatives and friends.
---The body was taken to Bentonville, Arkansas and placed beside his wife who died several years ago.
