George Coyle 1903-1985

George Coyle, 82, Shevlin, died Wednesday, October 30 at Clearwater County Memorial Hospital, Bagley.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Clearwater Lutheran Church, Shevlin, with the Rev. Roger Rotvold officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Coyle was born April 1, 1903, at Bemidji, the son of Edward and Myrtle Coyle. He worked at oil refineries in North Dakota, Wyoming and later again in North Dakota. He married Josie Van Horn July 11, 1927, at Wiebaux, Montana. They moved to Shevlin in 1936 and he farmed there until 1974 when he retired because of ill health. He was a member of Clearwater Lutheran Church.
He is survived by four daughters, Doris (Mrs. Ralph) Ellis, Bagley, Delores (Mrs. Albert) Olson, Sentinel Butte, North Dakota, Etta (Mrs. Arlan) Halverson, Lake Charles, LA, and Emma (Mrs. Fred) Halverson, Shevlin; three sons, Ernest, Otto and Roy, all of Bagley; 29 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and a sister, Etta Slems, Casper, Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his wife, September 12, 1985 and by a daughter, four brothers and a sister.
