Lucy Chesley 1918-1957

Mrs. Ernest Chesley, 39, died suddenly at her home near Shevlin Friday, July 5. Cause of death is reported to be from a heart ailment.
Funeral services were held at the Cease Chapel at Bagley Tuesday afternoon with Rev. Mack of Bemidji officiating. Burial was made in the Bagley Cemetery under the direction of the Cease Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lucy Chesley was born April 1, 1918, at Westerheim, North Dakota, and came to Clearwater County in 1935. She was married to Ernest Chesley on October 6, 1936, at Bagley.
Mr. and Mrs. Chesley were the parents of eight children, all of whom survive, as does her husband. The children are Henry, fifteen; Lillian thirteen; Carolyn, eleven; James, ten; Thomas, eight; Donald, six; Roger, four; and Darlene, two.
Also among the survivors are her mother, Mrs. Myrtle Coyle, a brother, George of Bagley and a sister, Etta Christianson of Casper, Wyoming, seven stepchildren also survive. They are Mrs. Marshall Dobson, Mrs. Mike Newman and Mrs. Ronald Adams, all of International Falls; Mrs. Margaret Newell and Richard of Bemidji; Edward of Shevlin and Daniel of Beech, North Dakota. Also an uncle Rubin Hershey of Shevlin.
