Josie Coyle 1902-1985

Josie Coyle, 83, Bagley, formerly of Shevlin, died Thursday, September 12 at the Clearwater County Memorial Hospital, Bagley.
Funeral services were held Saturday at the Clearwater Lutheran Church, Shevlin, with the Rev. Roger Rotvold officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery with the Cease Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
She was born January 5, 1902, at Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the daughter of Knute and Hattie Van Horn. She lived in Centinel Butt, North Dakota until 1936. She married George Coyle at Wibaux, Montana, July 11, 1927. They were long-time residents of the Shevlin area and for the past 3 1/2 years, she has lived at the Greensview Nursing Home in Bagley. She was a member of the Clearwater Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her husband; four daughters, Doris (Mrs. Ralph) Ellis, Bagley, Etta (Mrs. Arlan) Halvorson, Lake Charles, LA, Emma (Mrs. Fred) Halvorson, Shevlin, Delores (Mrs. Albert) Olson, Sentinel Butte, North Dakota ; three sons, Ernest, Otto and Roy, all of Bagley; one sister, Myrtle Franzen, Twin Falls, Idaho; one brother, Ernest Van Horn, Iowa; 29 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, two sisters and three brothers.
