She was the daughter of ELI AUSTIN & CLARA MAUDE (ADCOCK) ZINK. The family moved from Bond Co., Wisetown, Illinois to Grover, Colorado in 1924. She married CHARLES VERNE PHILP on Aug. 12, 1929 in Denver, Colorado. They were the parents of six children.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Vernon Austin Zink, Carson Rowen Zink, and Paul Laverne Zink; a sister, Julia Mae (Zink) Boardman;two sons, Charles Verne Philp, Jr. and Thomas Eli Philp; a daughter, Nancy Louise (Philp) Bond; and a grandson, Everett "Dean" Van Zee.
Survivors include 3 daughters, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 14 great great grandchildren, a sister, and five sisters-in-law.
She was a high energy person who couldn't sit still and loved to go places. She had a quick wit and loved to visit with people and was friendly with everyone.
