Ex-Grover Area Man, C. V. Philp, Jr. Dies
Charles V. Philp, Jr. of Sunnyvale, Calif., formerly of Grover, died, Sunday at a San Jose, Calif. hospital. He was born July 25, 1930 at Burns, Wyo., and was raised west of Grover. He graduated from Grover High School and attended Colorado State University. Philp was married while in the service to Carol E. Jacobs in San Francisco, Calif. He served aboard an aircraft carrier during the Korean War and after his discharge continued to ive in Calif. He was an engineer at Lockheed Missle Co. Besides his wife, he is survived by four children, Kathy, Roselee, Victoria Ann & Caren Verna, all of Sunnyvale; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles V. Philp of Grover; grandmother, Mrs. Merta M. Philp of Grover, Co. and grandfather, Eli Zink, of Greeley, Co.; a brother, Thomas E. Philp of Fort Collins, Co,; and four sisters, Mrs. Nancy L. Van Zee, Miss Verna Nareen Philp, Mrs. Sally V. Watkinson, all of Fort Collijns, and Mrs. Sylvia E. Ferris of Denver. Arrangements by Adamson Mortuary.
