Flora Scott was my aunt.

Flora was born September 22, 1889 at Aurora, Lawrence Co, MO. I believe she was "a twin" (scant information has told me she had a twin sister named Myrtle - date of death unknown). Her mother was Dora Ellen Piper and her father was J.A. Killion. She also had two step-fathers: Charles Good and my grandfather, Edward Simon. Her mother had married Edward Simon in 1897. Until Flora was aprox 18 years old, she used the surname Good. By 1910, however, she was going by "Flora Killion".

Flora married Bernard Bramhall on April 10, 1912 at Polk Co, Oregon. This marriage was performed by a Justice of the Peace (H. Holman) and witnesses were Grace Smith and John Bramhall. Bernard was born in Sheffield, England on December 9, 1889 and died June 12, 1947 at Sonoma, CA after a long illness. At the time of his death, he was married to Myrtle Bramhall. He was also married to a Candace Bramhall, but she died in 1939. Myrtle died in 1975. According to Bernard's obit, he is buried in Mountain Cemetery. I cannot find a grave at Mountain Cemetery for him though. He may have been cremated.

Bernard and Flora had 2 sons: Bernard & Zolan.

By 1921, Flora was divorced and married to her second husband, William Preston Peden (December 3, 1886-August 13, 1927). He died about 6 years later (of liver cancer). He was the son of Robert Arrington Peden and Flanoria Eutensia Cooper. William (called Preston by family) had one brother: John Seaborn Peden (1889-1964).

Flora eventually married Herbert Scott and they settled in El Dorado Springs, MO.

Her siblings (from her mother's marriage to Edward Simon) included Price, Wallace, Harry, Willie (my father), Ruth, Charley and Alberta.

Besides sons Bernard & Zolan, she had 5 step-children from her marriage to Herbert Scott: Ted, Anna, Walter, Kenneth and James.

Aunt Florrie died at age 103, passing away on January 15, 1993 while a resident of the El Dorado Springs Community Care Center. Herbert had died in 1972. They are buried side by side here at Virgil City Cemetery.
