My father, Willie Lawrence Simon, was born @ Carterville, MO in 1903.
He was the son of Edward Michael Simon and Dora Ellen (Ella) Piper. Ed & Dora owned a farm at Rocky Comfort, MO and both are buried at the Rocky Comfort Cemetery.
My parents (my mother was Eula May Williams) married @ Powell, MO in 1925 (5 children were born from this union: Lewis Edward, Kenneth Lawrence, Betty Marie, Joyce Elaine and Darlene, who died as an infant in 1927), divorced in 1949 and my father married Mabel Maggie Miller Pearson (a widow of Oscar Pearson) @ Salem, OR in 1950. He became the step-father to 2 boys: Wallace & Ronald Pearson. Bill & Mabel continued to live in Salem for some years, then moved to CA and finally to Idaho.
My father had been a logger in OR for many years working as "a faller". Mabel is also buried here at Park View. She was born in North Dakota.
My father had the following siblings: Price (also buried here at Park View along with wife Alma Horton Simon), Wallace (twin to Price), Harry, Charley, Ruth and Mary Alberta and a half sister, Flora Maxine.
My father passed away at Amarillo, TX while living with his youngest son, Kenneth.
