She was born July 6, 1923, in Indian Point Township, Knox County, the daughter of John and Minnie (Dawdy) Schisler. She married Tom J. Sawyer. He preceded her in death Aug. 24, 1960. She then married Robert K. Morris Dec. 16, 1961, in Berwick. He survives.
She is also survived by three sons, Tom (Linda) Sawyer, Avon, Rodney (Nancy) Sawyer, Eagle River, Alaska, and Richard (Rita) Sawyer, Cameron; three daughters, Cindy Tinker and Sharon (Mark) Harmon, Peoria, and Joyce (Rudy) Carlson, Brimfield; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her first husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
She had lived in the Abingdon and Berwick areas all her life. She graduated from Abingdon High School in 1941 and was a member of the Half Century Alumni.
She was a homemaker and helped her husband with the bookkeeping for Berwick Township for several years.
She was a member of the Berwick Baptist Church, where she formerly taught Sunday school and was a song leader.
Services were held Monday, Nov. 8, 2004, at the Berwick Baptist Church, Berwick, with the Rev. Melody Andrews officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery, Macomb.
Hinchliff-Pearson-West Chapel, Abingdon, was in charge of arrangements.
