Abingdon - Mrs. John Schisler, 76, of Berwick, died at 11:35 a.m. Monday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Tom Sawyer, where she had lived since breaking her hip a year ago.
She had been in ill health a year.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Abingdon Christian Church in charge of the Rev. John Watson. Burial will be in Abingdon Cemetery. Visitation will be at Larson Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon and evening.
She was born Dec. 14, 1883 in Indian Point Township, the daughter of Warren and Anna Brown Dowdy (Dawdy).
She was graduated from the school of music of Heading College in Abingdon. She was a member of Abingdon Christian Church.
She was married to John Schisler at Abingdon March 29, 1907.
She is survived by her husband, three sons, Claire and Clifford, both of Abingdon and Harold of Galesburg; two daughters, Mrs. Loren Smyers and Mrs. Tom Sawyer, both of Berwick, 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. One sister is deceased.
