Harry Glenville Mellott, 79, St. James Village, died Saturday afternoon at his home following an illness of several months.

He was the son of the late Lemuel G. and Sarah Litton Mellott.

He was a retired employee of Potomac Edison Co., where he had been employed for 25 years at Dam No. Four Hydro Station as an operator.

He was a member of Bakersville Lutheran Church.

He is survived by a son Marvin E. Mellott, St. James Village; daughter Mrs. Walter E. Forsythe, Williamsport Rt. 1; two grandchildren; brothers Russell, Williamsport Rt. 1; Arthur, Boonsboro Rt. 1; Richard, Beaver Creek; sisters Mrs. Bessie Shank, Smithsburg; Mrs. Ethel Taylor, Keedysville; Mrs. Joe Scott, Williamsport; Mrs. Lenore Shank, Williamsport; and Mrs. Nellie Coss, Hagerstown.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, at 2 p.m. at the Leaf Funeral Home, Williamsport, with the Rev. Charles Birs officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Cemetery, Williamsport.

The family will receive friends tonight from 7-9 at the funeral home.
