She earned her BS Degree from Pestalozzi, Froebel Teacher's College in Chicago, IL in 1955. She earned her Master's Degree in School Administration from Northern Illinois University in 1962. She began her teaching career in the rural schools of South Dakota and later taught at Edgebrook in McHenry, IL and was Principal of Hilltop Elementary School and later became Principal of Edgebrook School. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, past president of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority, and the Illinois Retired Teachers and the National Retired Teachers.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Reinhold (Pat) in 1982, her parents, three brothers, two sisters and a son, Gene. She is survived by one son, James D. Ullrich of Delhi, CA, two grandsons, Patrick J. Ullrich of Aurora, IL and David G. Ullrich of Gainesville, MD, a sister, Helen Barger of Mission, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services held at Zion Lutheran Church, McHenry with visitation at the Colonial Funeral Home McHenry, IL.
