Born February 18, 1912 at Tabor, South Dakota, Harold was the son of William Christian and Margret Catherine (Scherer) Anderson. He married Helen L. Doty on September 28, 1934 at Armour, Douglas, South Dakota. They were the parents of two sons and two daughters- Evelyn Margret, William Clarence, Robert LeRoy and Helen Marie.
Harold passed at 2:35 am April 2, 1946 at Bloomfield, Nebraska, at the age of 34 years, one month and twenty-three days from cancer.
Surviving besides his widow and children are his four sisters: Bertha (Mrs. Allen) Shoumaker, Agnes Anderson, Dorothy (Mrs. Pat) Ulrich, and Helen (Mrs. Howard) Barger; two brothers, Elmer (& wife Grace) Anderson, and John (& wife Lillian) Anderson. He was predeceased by his parents.
Services were held at Trinity Lutheran Church at 2:00 pm April 5, 1946 at Yankton, South Dakota with the Rev T. G. Wicks officiating. Bearers were John Smith, Norman Barger, George Schmidt, Peter Schmidt, Kenneth Schnieder, and Victor Mauksck. Interment was at Elm Grove Cemetery, Section 5, lot 22, Yankton County, South Dakota.
