A native of Anderson, Mr. Cookman had spent his entire life in this vicinity. He has been employed at Delco-Remy Division for more than 25 years. He was a member of MT. Moriah Lodge of Masons and the central christian church.
The body was removed to the Baker Brothers funeral home, where it will remain. Funeral services will be conducted there on Tuesday at 2 p.m., and Dr. H.C. Armstrong, past of the Central Christian church, will be in charge. Burial will follow in East Maplewood Cemetery.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Grace Cookman; a daughter, Mrs. Bernadine Smith, living here, and four brothers, Lester, John, Clem and Ray Cookman, all living here.
