Minter was the son of Minter Bailey Cookman Sr. and Margaret Elizabeth Reel.
He married Sarah Jane Mead, daughter of John Mead and Susan J. Moore, on August 15 1874 in Anderson, Madison County, Indiana. Their children were Charles, Frank C., M. Cary, John, Willard, Susan M., M. Hubert, Maggie E., Katie S., Ray, Lester Bryan and F. Esther Cookman.

FUNERAL M. B. COOKMAN

TO TAKE PLACE AT FAMILY RESIDENCE TODAY

Well Known Aged Drayman and Plumber.

The funeral of Minter B. Cookman, age 61 years, whose death occurred at 4pm Friday, will be held at 2:30pm today from the family residence at 1429 West Tenth Street, with burial in West Maplewood.

Rev. B. F. Cunningham, of the United Brethren church, will be in charge of the services.

Mr. Cookman was one of the pioneer draymen of this city. He had been a sufferer from Bright's disease for the past some years, Mr. Cookman was formerly a plumber by trade.

He is survived by a widow and nine children, eight sons and one daughter. The sons are Charles, Cary, Frank, John, Clem, Hubert, Ray and Lester. The only daughter is Miss Susie Cookman, who resides at the family home.
