Deaths; Funerals
Albert (sic) M. Burton, formerly of this city, died at his home in Detroit, Mich., Saturday, at the age of 70 years. For twenty years he had been connected with the Calvert Lithographing Company in Detroit. Mr. Burton left Syracuse between 1870 and 1875. He was a son of Burr Burton, who was murdered many years ago, head of one of the oldest First ward families. Prior to going to Detroit he was with Bradley, Parshall & Co., hardware merchants. Surviving are his wife, one brother, W. E. Burton of Syracuse, and two sisters, Mrs. Amelia B. Childs of this city and Mrs. D. C. Frost of Oswego. The body will be brought to Syracuse and placed in the Burton mausoleum at Oakwood Cemetery.
