Mrs. Amelia Burton Childs, 81, widow of John H. Childs, died this morning at her apartment in The Mowry, South Salina and West Onondaga Streets, after an illness of two months. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Howard S. Baker, Mrs. Henry P. Warner, and Mrs. Georgene Hawe, all of Syracuse; one son Hamilton E. Childs of New York City; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. W. A. Fancher, undertaker, will remove the body to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry P. Warner, 322 Holland Street. Funeral services will be conducted there Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock by Rev. Walter R. Ferris. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
