Leon R. Arnesen, 72, of Salt Lake City died October 24, 1991.

He was born April 4, 1919 in Sugar House to Otto W. and Zina Elizabeth Newbold Arnesen. He married Margaret Mary Oates June 15

1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He spent his entire life in Salt Lake City. Served in the Army in World War II. He was a baker throughout the Salt Lake Valley. He is an active member of the LDS Church and enjoyed being a Temple worker for many years.

He is survived by his wife, Salt Lake City; daughters, Kathleen Arnesen, Salt Lake City; Shirley Worthen, West Jordan; Nancy and her husband, Robert White, Kearns; son, Brian and his wife, Karen Arnesen, Pleasant Grove; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandsons; sister, Elaine Migliaccio, Salt Lake City; three brothers, Aksel Arnesen, West Valley City; Arnold Arnesen, Bountiful; Elmer Arnesen, Murray. Preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services Monday, October 28, 1991, 11 a.m. in the Cottonwood 7th Ward, 5565 Neighbor Lane (1610 East). Friends may call at the MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive, Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. and at the church Monday one hour prior to services. Interment: Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
