Aksel M. Arnesen, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, Dec. 14, 2003, after a short illness.

He was born February 16, 1911 to Otto Waldermar Arnesen and Zina Elizabeth Newbold, in Blackfoot, Idaho. Married to Ruby Ileane Berg in the Salt Lake Temple on August 19, 1936. He served an L.D.S. Mission to Norway. Worked with the Civilian Conservation Corps. Retired from Mountain Fuel Supply Co., working as a meter repairman. He enjoyed many years singing with the Scandia Male Chorus, Sons of Norway. Faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survived by children, Judith Annette Jensen, Douglas M. (Carol) Arnesen, Karen Elizabeth (Mickey) Pomeroy, Alan H. (Echo) Arnesen, Ingrid Mae (Hy) Hudson; son-in-law, Richard Deegan; 30 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruby and daughter, Ileane Deegan.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19th, 11:00 a.m. at the Taylorsville 4th Ward, 4310 S. 3200 W. A viewing will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Redwood Memorial Mortuary, 6500 S. Redwood Road, and one hour prior to services at the church.

You will be truly missed but remain in our hearts forever.
