Married Joseph Edward Crim (1834-1908) in 1859 at Red House, Allegany County (now Garrett), Maryland. Of this union 11 children:

Mary J., wife of J. M. Crim and daughter of the late William and Mary Waltz, was born near Red House Mary 18, 1839, and died in Oakland July 2, 1896, aged 57 years, 1 month and 14 days. Her remains were followed on Friday, July 3, at 5 o'clock p.m. by a large concourse of sorrowing friends and neighbors from her late residence to St. Mark's Lutheran church where the funeral services were conducted by the pastor, Rev. J./ W. Butler. From the church the remains were conveyed to the Odd Fellows' cemetery where they were laid to rest. The deceased was a kind, affectionate and loving wife and mother, a friendly and peaceable neighbor, ever willing to aid and give a willing hand and good advice to all. Over forty years she connected herself with the Lutheran church near Sunnyside and lived in that faith until death called her away to the church on high. She leaves to mourn their loss a husband and eight children, viz: Edward B. of Gormania, W. Va.; Mrs. E. J. Crim, of Wadesville, Va.; Wm. S. and D. Calvin, of Cincinnati; Mrs. John Menhorn, Misses Fannie and Lizzie and G. H. of Oakland, besides her four brothers, five sisters and thirteen grandchildren.
