Lawrence W. Roswold, Urness township resident, was buried Tuesday, June 26, following rites conducted at the home at 1:30 p.m. and at the St. Petri church at 2 p.m. Rev. A. J. Sheldahl officiated. Pallbearers were Harold Amundson, Theodore Halvorson, Frank Neterval, Walter Erickson, Arthur Henneman and Robert Lindstrom. Interment was made in the West Urness cemetery.

Lawrence Wilhelm Roswold was born on June 21, 1890. He passed away at St. Lukes hospital in Alexandria on June 20, having reached the age of 61 years. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith by Rev. T. A. Sattre and was a lifelong member of the West Urness congregation. After attending business college in Minneapolis, he returned to the home farm which he operated until his death. Active in community affairs, he served for a time as a member of the Evansville Creamery board and was president of the board for some time. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge No. 214 of Evansville.

Survivors include his sister, Clara, who cared for him during his illness, Mrs. (Ida) Alberts of Evansville, Mrs. C. J. Richards of Monrovia, Calif., and a brother, Albert, of Evansville.
