Baby David Caruthers.

Tuesday evening this bright and winsome little son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Caruthers was down on the street with his mother giving joy to all with his bright and sweet baby prattle. Wednesday, before the clock struck one, he had joined the angel choir, for diptheria had clutched his little throat and crushed out his precious life. Little dreaming that death was so near his home. Mr. Henry Caruthers went to his work as usual Wednesday morning. The shock which has come to these heart broken parents is overwhelming, but they have the sweet consolation that it is written "Of such is the Kingdom of Heaven" and though the little one is snatched away as it were, he is....... here on earth, took little children in His arms and blessed them. How much more precious are they when mortality is laid aside. His memory will be a priceless heritage to which your memory will ever cling and it will keep your heart tender throughout the coming years.

May the God of peace comfort the stricken parents, hears as only He can, is the prayer of those who represent the Herald.
