Services for J. Edgar Caruthers, who died of a heart attack Saturday night at the Mississippi Delta Kennel Club Dog Show in Greenwood, will be at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon at the First Methodist Church.
The Rev. E. M. Sharp and the Rev. J. H. Kyzar will officiate. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery.
He has been a resident of Greenwood for 36 years and has been employed by D and N Auto Parts Co., where he was secretary-treasurer of the firm, for the past 28 years. He was president of the Mississippi Kennel Club and a member of the Baptist church.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Lucille Banister Caruthers: two daughters, Mrs. Stanley Hardin of Great Falls, Mont., and Miss Ann Dow Caruthers of Greenwood; and his mother, Mrs. H Y. Caruthers of Greenwood; three brothers, Jack Caruthers of Mem phis, Billy Caruthers of Greenville and Clifton Caruthers of Greenwood, and a sister, Mrs Cecil Boland of Money.
