MEMPHIS, TENN. Graveside rites were held for Jack Caruthers, 59, at Glenwood Cemetery in Yazoo City at 11 a.m. this morning.

Mr. Caruthers, a former resident of Greenwood, died Wednesday at his home in Memphis. Born in Yazoo City, he had been a resident of Memphis for 30 years. He had served with the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II; Mr. Caruthers, a member of the First Baptist Church, was an automotive parts salesman.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Cecil Boland of Greenwood.

The Rev. Walter Yeldel officiated at the services.

Pallbearers were James H. Hargrove, Jack Ditto, Pershing Chassiniol, Charlie J. Jones, Tommy Gregory, Ernest Juchiem, Bill Pillow and Myrle McCormick.

Wilson and Knight was In charge of arrangements.
