Mrs. Julia Batorson died at her home. She was born to Michael and Julia (Asztalus) Szabo in Nagykaroly, Hungary.
She was survived by three daughters, Mrs. Walter (Elorn) Bieritz and Mrs. Russell (Margaret) Devick of Yorkville and Mrs. Louis (Anna) Gross of Aurora; four sons, Steve (Elizabeth) Batorson of Peoria, Louis (Helen) Batorson of Sandwich, George (Elaine) Batorson of Decatur, and Joseph (Dorothy) Batorson of Batavia; 21 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Steve Batorson in 1940; a son, Alex Batorson; and a son and a daughter in infancy. She was also preceded in death by a grandson and great-grandson.
Funeral services were held Saturday, February 2, 1974, from the Larson Funeral Home in Plano, with the Rev. Maynard G. Halvorson officiating. Pallbearers were David Bieritz, John Theede, James Christman, Dennis Batorson, Joseph Batorson Jr., and Daryl Devick.
