Mrs. Hjalmer Alto
Mrs. Hjalmer Alto, 54, of Eben, died in St. Luke's Hospital early yesterday morning, after being ill for the last five days.
Mrs. Alto was born in Finland and had lived in Eben 27 years. Besides her husband, Hjalmer, she leaves five daughters, Katherine of Trenary; Mrs. Eino Niemi, Mrs. Alex Hillberg, both of Marquette; Mrs. Jack Robinson and Miss Mayme Alto, both of Detroit, four sons, Alec, Toivo and Charles Alto of Eben, and Victor Alto of Marquette. She also leaves a brother Ade Salmi, of Iron River; a cousin Toivo Orhanen, of Marquette and four grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Swanson funeral home. It will be taken to the family home in Eben this afternoon. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
