Rev A Cleland conducted the funeral service on Friday at 2 pm at the Ostrander funeral home for Robert G Meharg, a resident of Glen Meyer, who passed away there at his home on Tues Feb 23rd in his 79th year. Mr Meharg was born in Houghton Tp and lived in this district all his life. He operated a garage in Glen Meyer for several years and also served as tax collector in Walsingham Tp but retired 15 yrs ago. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs H Griggs (Greta) of Mimico; two sons, Ivan and Ross of Glen Meyer; a sister Mrs Rosa Whitesell of Tillsonburg; and a brother Whitfield, of Glen Meyer; also 6 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Arthur Carson, Roy Kelly, Clare Kelly, Wm Reid, Gordon Hetherington, and RO Messecar. Interment in Tillsonburg Cemetery.
