HOMER, June 1 – (BSC)- William Henry Bear, 72, year old Homer farmer, died at 12:10 a.m. Tuesday at Burnham city hospital, Champaign, where he had been a patient for a week.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Scott funeral home here, with burial at GAR cemetery. The body will be at the home of a son, Lawrence Bear. North of Homer, until time for services.
Mr. Bear was born September 2, 1875, north of Homer, son of Pinckney and Matilda Bear. He lived all his life north of here. His wife died in 1913.
Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Marie Rodgers, Fairmount; Mrs. Edith Keist and Mrs. Naomi Alagna, Champaign, and Mrs. Ruby Roderick, Urbana; two sons, Lawrence and Dannie, Homer; three brothers, Marion, Isaac and Frank, and a sister, Mrs. Rosie Smith, all of Homer. A daughter, Gertrude, preceded him in death.
