Homer, Ill., Jan. 14.—Mrs. P. W. Bear died at her home northwest of Homer on Tuesday night from a long illness. Mrs. Bear had been afflicted with cancer for a long time and for some weeks past has not been in good health. She was about eighty years of age and had lived around Homer for many years. No funeral arrangements have been made.

Mrs. Martha Bear Succumbs to Complication of Diseases – Was native of this County

Homer, Ill., Jan. 14. – Mrs. Martha Bear, and aged lady living three miles northwest of here, died at 10 o’clock Tuesday evening, the cause of her death being a complication of diseases. She leaves four sons, Edgar, Marion, Frank and William to mourn her loss, her husband Pinkney Bear, having died several years ago.
She was about 62 years of age at the time of her death, and had lived in this vicinity all her life. The funeral will be held at 10 o’clock Thursday afternoon from the home. Rev. M. M. Want will conduct the services. Burial will be at the Old Homer cemetery.
