Rites for Arthur Ferdie Hoke, 77 year-old retired Claremont carpenter, were conducted Sunday afternoon at St. Mark's Lutheran Church by the Rev. Stanley Stiver, pastor [Text was Psalm 23]. Burial followed in the Claremont cemetery.
Grandsons of Mr. Hoke served as pallbearers. Mr. Hoke died Friday morning in the local hospital after a month's illness. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Mittie Boggs Hoke; six sons; three daughters; one sister; and a number of grandchildren.
