Arthur lived all his life on the family farm in northern Barton Co. and received his basic education in the local area rural schools. Arthur dedicated his life to his farming and livestock and his poultry, even in his later years, he thoroughly enjoyed his chickens, turkeys, geese and looked forward to raising these flocks. Arthur never married, he and his Rudolph tended the farming activities all their lives.
Those who preceded him in death were his parents, brothers, Herman, Robert and Walter, and a sister Frieda Dietz. Survivors are his brother Rudolph Batt of the home, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
