Isabelle was born on Thursday, November 25, 1880 in Clay County, West Virginia to Melzah and Malinda (nee Dawson) Rhodes. Her father started the Blue Knob Church along side her husband's father Rev. Thomas A Davis. On Friday, May 17, 1899 she was united to William Addison Davis at her fathers house. Together they purchased a farm at Big Beechy Ridge at Elkhurst where they raised 10 of eleven children. With many memories kept by each of the surviving children to be passed on to their own is enough to keep this farm alive.
She and her husband Will set aside part of this land as a final resting place of his parents as well as family members and now she was interned there on the knoll overlooking their farm on Wednesday, March 8th.
