Allan Dale LaFave, 64, St. Joseph, Missouri passed from this life on Sunday, May 15, 2011 in his home. He was born June 8, 1946 in St. Joseph, one of fourteen children, to Jule and Leona (Jackson) LaFave. Allan was a 1965 graduate of Lafayette High School. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. Allan married Rhonda (McCall) on October 22, 1971 in St. Joseph. He was a machine operator at Wire Rope Corp for 41 years, retiring in 2009. Allan was a Christian, and loved sports, music and watching TV. He was a member of the Steel Workers Union. Allan was preceded in death by his parents, 5 brothers, Noah, Junior, Richard, Clarence and Floyd LaFave; 3 sisters, Vickie Wilson, Agnes Frakes, and Darlene Miller. Survivors: his loving wife of over 39 years, Rhonda LaFave, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Allan II and Heidi LaFave, Brad "B.J." and Brandy LaFave; daughter, Kim LaFave and Pat Payne; 9 grandchildren, Lexi, Heisman, Lincoln, Jerzie, Brooklynn, and soon to be Hudson LaFave, Dakota, Colton and Caedyn Pfeifer; 3 brothers, Rex, Jimmy and Jerry LaFave; 2 sisters, Alean Majors and Phyllis Dowlen, all of St. Joseph; numerous nieces, nephews, and a dog, "Sissy". Celebration of Life: 10:00AM Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at Gladden-Stamey Funeral Home, St. Joseph. Interment with full Military Honors will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
