"Laura M. Heiman, 87, Greentree Health Care Center, Clintonville, formerly a Marion area resident, died Sunday at the home.
Mrs. Hieman, the former Laura M. Raasch was born August 24, 1896 in Manawa, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Raasch. She married Gust Heiman on April 22, 1914 and he died September 8, 1933. On June 27, 1934 she married Robert Heiman. The couple farmed in the Town of Dupont until 1958 when they moved to Marion. Mr. Heiman died on February 11, 1965. Mrs. Heiman had been a resident of Greentree since June 1978. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and St. Paul's ALCW, South Dupont and also a member of Wm. Bertram Post No. 198 American Legion Auxiliary, Marion.
Survivors include two daughters, Gertrude, Mrs. Benny Arndt, Rt. 1, Marion; Hazel, Mrs. Bernard Stevenson, Rt. 1, Bear Creek, six sons, Alvin, Clintonville; Arthur, Rt. 1 Marion; Chester, Rt. 1, Bear Creek; Arnold, Marshfield; Ernest, Milwaukee and Harold, Clintonville; twenty-five grandchildren, thirty-two great-grandchildren and one sister, Margaret, Mrs. Albert Arndt, Clintonville. She was preceded in death by her husbands, one son and one daughter.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at St. Paul's Lutheran church, South Dupont. Interment will be in Roseland cemetery, Marion in the spring.
Pallbearers were Keith Heiman, Wayne Heiman, Donald Heiman, Kenneth Heiman, Steve Heiman and Dan Heiman.
The Rodes and Beil Funeral home, Marion assisted the family with the arrangements."
