Mary was born in Regenwalde, Kreis Regenwalde, Pommern, Germany.

New London Press-Republican, Thursday, 30 March 1939. "Mrs. August Meshke, Resident Here for 47 Years, Dies. Mrs. August Meschke, 63, died at 8:30 o'clock Friday morning at her home on Division street. Although Mrs. Meshke had been in poor health for sometime she was not seriously ill until a few days before her death.
Mary Rassch Meshke was born October 23, 1875 in Germany and came with her parents to America at the age of 12 years. They settled in the town of Bloomington and her marriage to August Meshke took place in New London on October 14, 1892 where the couple since resided.
Survivors are the husband: five daughters, Mrs. Edward Suprise and Miss Catherine Meshke of New London; Miss Lula Meshke and Mrs. John Bartz of Milwaukee; Mrs. Harry Ohlrogge, Luxemberg; threee sons, Lester, Leo and Harold all of New London; a sister, Mrs. Henry Rachu of Edgar; a brother, Arnold Raasch of Ladysmith; a stepmother, Mrs. Henry Abraham of Clintonville; two half sisters, Mrs. Robert Bork and Mrs. Robert Heimen of Marion; a half brother, Frank Raasch of Clintonville; 18 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 o'clock from the Fehrman-Kircher Funeral home and at 2); o'clock Monday from the Emanuel Lutheran church. The Rev. W.E. Pankow officiated and interment was in the Catholic cemetery.
Bearers were Ed Becker, Wm. Reuter, John Yost, Ed Kleinbrook, H.E. Ehrenreich and Herman Platte."
