Margaret M. Arndt, 165 Bennett Street, Clintonville, age 94, died Sunday, January 24, 1999 at the Shawano Medical Center. The Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home is serving her family. Margaret was born November 24, 1904 in the Town of Dupont, Waupaca County, daughter of the late Henry and Emma (Splitter) Abraham. She lived her early life in the Marion area and on August 27, 1924 was united in marriage to Albert Arndt in the Town of Dupont. The married couple lived in the Fremont area until 1929 when they moved to Clintonville where they lived ever since. Margaret was employed in the housekeeping department of the Clintonville Community Hospital for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville and of the Clintonville American Legion Post #63 Auxiliary. She was a past member of the Clintonville Hospital Auxiliary and served as the co-manager of the Clintonville Pantry Shelf for over 30 years.
Survivors include her son, Earl (Audrey) Arndt, Clintonville; three grandchildren: Jeffrey Arndt, Green Bay; Cheryl Arndt-Semrad and James Semrad, Edina, Minnesota; Gregory Arndt, Neenah. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, George; two half-brothers: Frank and Archie Raasch; three half-sisters: Emma Rachu, Erma Bork and Laura Heiman. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday January 27, 1999 at the Christus Lutheran Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Rick Pettis officiating. Friends may call at the church only after 10 a.m. Wednesday until the time of the services.
